N Korea rejects UNSC resolution
Sunday, July 16, 2006 (Pyongyang):North Korea has staunchly rejected a UNSC resolution sanctioning the communist nation for recent missile tests and warned the measure was a prelude to a new Korean War.North Korea's uncompromising comments were delivered via a televised statement on state run television.
Our Republic "vehemently denounces and roundly refutes the UNSC resolution, a product of the US hostile policy towards the DPRK, and will not be bound to it in the least," it said.Warning of repercussions, the North warned it would "bolster its war deterrent for self-defence, now that the situation has reached the worst phase due to the extremely hostile act of the US."
