Eye's on the Skies Aug. 29th
JUPITER & ZUBENELGENUBI: When the sun goes down tonight, step outside and look southwest. The first thing you'll notice is Jupiter and the crescent Moon side-by-side--very pretty. Now look more carefully at Jupiter. See the dim star right beside it? That's Zubenelgenubi. Keep an eye on Zubenelgenubi during the nights ahead. It's making a beeline for Jupiter. The star and the planet are converging for a super-close encounter on Sept. 12th. [sky map]
