2006 Tsunami
JAKARTA, Indonesia - A powerful earthquake sent a 6-foot-high tsunami crashing into beach resorts on Indonesia's Java island Monday, killing at least 86 people, leaving scores missing and sending thousands fleeing to higher ground, officials and witnesses said. Regional bulletins that the 7.7-magnitude undersea earthquake was strong enough to send a killer wave steaming toward the country worst hit by the 2004 Asian tsunami did not reach the victims, because the nation's main island has no warning system. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060717/ap_on_re_as/indonesia_earthquake_25;_ylt=Ak8oBv2KjJZkp75s.e59wfnaHXcA;_ylu=X3oDMTBiMW04NW9mBHNlYwMlJVRPUCUl

If you think of the earth as a living creature, and human beings who use the resources of that planet without giving much back (i.e. a parasite), sometimes Tsunamis, earthquakes, and other natural disasters seem more understandable, from the earth's perspective at least . . .
It's not the fault of those individuals in Indonesia generally, which is the tragic aspect of the way the earth is trying to destroy us all . . .
